This is maternity cover for a Student Recruitment Outreach Officer at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, running recruitment and outreach work to hit student targets. The work centres on building links with schools and colleges and supporting the Widening Access Plan and the Reaching Wider partnership. Independent travel to events is expected, plus an on-campus presence across all campuses and advice to marketing staff and academics. An enhanced DBS check applies, and applications are judged on the application and supporting statement alone, as no CV is accepted.
What the job involves
- Deliver the university's recruitment and outreach activities to meet student recruitment targets
- Support delivery of the Widening Access Plan and the requirements of the Reaching Wider partnership
- Build and maintain relationships with schools and colleges to maximise recruitment
- Develop working relationships with colleagues in academic Institutes and professional services
- Take a proactive, creative approach to all recruitment and outreach activity
- Travel independently to events and other student recruitment, outreach and widening access activities
- Maintain an on-campus presence across all UWTSD campuses
- Advise marketing staff and academics across all locations
