A People Advisor post in the central team of Manor Hall Academy Trust, a multi-academy trust founded by a group of special schools. The role gives HR advice to school leaders and managers on employee relations, recruitment, attendance, wellbeing, performance and policy. The current post-holder works three days a week, term-time only, but the Trust will discuss other patterns and hours, with hybrid working available and travel to schools required. Visa sponsorship is not available.
What the job involves
- Advise leaders and managers on employee relations casework
- Provide HR guidance on recruitment, attendance, wellbeing and performance
- Support the implementation of people-related policies
- Identify and promote best practice and support continuous improvement
- Contribute to projects that strengthen the people strategy
- Visit schools for face-to-face support and engagement as needed
Qualifications
- CIPD level 5, or demonstrable employee relations casework experience
Experience
- High-quality HR advice and guidance, often at pace
- Implementing and advising on people-related policies
Skills & knowledge
- Understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Stakeholder management and the ability to influence
- Advanced written communication, Microsoft Teams and in-person communication
- Identifying and promoting best practice
- Adaptability and high emotional intelligence
- Resolving differences of opinion and conflict
