Bank Staff Nurse post on the Elective Surgical Ward at Nuffield Health Cheltenham Hospital, filled on an ad hoc basis with no set weekly hours. The work is direct patient care on a consultant-led ward, with the team led by the matron and close liaison with practitioners in other departments. Shifts run early, mid, night and weekend across Monday to Sunday, so availability must cover a mix of these. Applicants need NMC registration and post-registration experience.
What the job involves
- Provide patient care on the elective surgical ward, driving the standard in care
- Attend closely to each patient's needs
- Work as part of a close-knit team led by the matron
- Work directly with experienced clinical colleagues on the ward
- Collaborate with practitioners in other departments to ensure continuity of care
- Gain experience of new practices, equipment and facilities
- Work a combination of early, mid and night shifts and weekends on an ad hoc bank basis

- Qualifications relevant to NMC registration
