Staff Nurse post on the Little Havens In-Patient unit at Havens Hospices, set in the Daws Heath countryside. The role is holistic palliative nursing for children, young people and adults with complex, life-limiting or terminal conditions, working within a multidisciplinary team. It is a 25-hour-a-week post covering evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays. Applicants need current NMC registration and registration as a children's nurse.
What the job involves
- Provide and manage holistic care for people with life-limiting or terminal conditions
- Deliver specialist palliative nursing care to the highest standards, responding to changing needs
- Enhance patients' independence and quality of life, including through a range of therapies
- Give practical and emotional support to patients and their carers
- Work as a member of the multidisciplinary care team
What’s required
Qualifications
- First level degree or diploma in nursing
Registration & licences
- Current NMC registration
- Registered children's nurse
Experience
- Completed UK nursing preceptorship
Skills & knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Keyboard and IT skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook
