This permanent, full-time post sits in the Children and Young People's Service at Spire Bristol Hospital, the largest private hospital in the South West. The nurse cares for paediatric patients before and after surgery and supports clinics, minor operations and recovery, with family-centred care at the core. Surgical experience is welcome, but the post asks for extensive prior ward experience. Candidates need NMC registration with a children's qualification and a PIN free of restrictions.
What the job involves
- Deliver pre- and post-surgical care to paediatric patients
- Assist in clinics, minor operations and recovery
- Deliver family-centred care to meet patients' health and wellbeing needs
- Give complex, sensitive or contentious information
- Develop own knowledge and skills and those of others
- Promote best practice in health and safety, security and safeguarding children's welfare
