What the job involves
- Move and handle trays and items of various weights and sizes
- Process used surgical instruments for dispatch
- Receive sterile surgical equipment
- Support the theatre team
- Maintain accurate records and up-to-date documentation
- Dispose of contaminated waste in line with hospital policy
- Check equipment is in good working order and report all faults
- Keep the working environment clean and tidy
- Rectify problems and escalte issues where necessary
