Chiswick School's sixth form safeguarding team is recruiting a social worker, counsellor or experienced safeguarding practitioner. The post is hands-on and includes home visits and work with families to engage students with social, emotional and mental health needs. It runs term-time only over 38 weeks at 36 hours a week, with some flexibility, and safeguarding staff from an educational setting will also be considered. Applicants need an enhanced DBS check and the right to work in the UK, as visa sponsorship is not available.
What the job involves
- Support students and their families through the sixth form safeguarding team

Qualifications
- Qualified social worker, or working towards qualification, or a counsellor
Experience
- Experienced safeguarding practitioner, or safeguarding experience in an educational setting supporting students

- Careful record keeping
- Flexible, kind, professional and proactive approach
Checks & eligibility
- Satisfactory enhanced DBS check
- Other safeguarding checks in line with KCSiE
- Eligible to work in the UK
