This term-time only post supports the breakfast club at The Langley Heritage Primary. The work centres on supervising and caring for children before the school day, preparing and serving breakfast, and running quiet and active play. Shifts run from 7.30am to 9am, Monday to Friday. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
What the job involves
- Supervise children and ensure their safety, welfare and wellbeing
- Welcome pupils and register attendance per school procedures
- Prepare and serve healthy breakfasts to food hygiene standards, supporting healthy choices
- Promote positive behaviour, social skills and independence
- Organise and supervise age-appropriate games, activities and quiet play
- Keep tables, equipment and food areas clean and store food safely
- Report food quality or safety concerns
- Follow safeguarding, child protection, health and safety and behaviour policies
- Give basic first aid where appropriate and report accidents
- Keep aware of pupils' medical needs, allergies and individual requirements
- Build relationships with pupils, parents, carers and colleagues
- Set up and clear away equipment and resources
