The Radiology Department at Spire Thames Valley Hospital is recruiting bank Radiology Assistants to support the imaging team and patients. The work centres on welcoming and preparing patients for scans, assisting with positioning and monitoring, and keeping the department running smoothly. Bank shifts offer flexible hours and weekly pay in a private hospital setting. Previous experience as a healthcare assistant or in a similar clinical support role is the main requirement.
What the job involves
- Support the imaging team in delivering patient care and service
- Welcome, prepare and assist patients attending imaging appointments
- Assist with patient movement, positioning, comfort and dignity during examinations
- Monitor patients and promptly report concerns or changes in condition
- Support radiographers and other clinical colleagues during imaging procedures
- Assist with administrative tasks, including appointment coordination and patient documentation
- Ensure clinical areas are clean, organised and ready for patient use
- Maintain accurate records in line with hospital policies and procedures
- Contribute to the safe and effective running of the Radiology Department
- Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team
What’s required
Experience
- Previous experience as a healthcare assistant or in a similar clinical support role

Nice to have
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
- Cannulation experience
