Nottinghamshire County Council's Greasley Beauvale Primary School is recruiting a senior lead for its Midday Supervisor and Play teams. The post supports the Head Teacher in keeping pupils safe, cared for and well behaved at lunchtimes, and in running a varied play programme under the school's Play Policy. Hours are 11am to 2pm, with indoor supervision in poor weather and work with pupil Playground Leaders.
What the job involves
- Lead and manage the Midday Supervisor and Play teams to maintain high standards of supervision and care
- Ensure pupil safety, welfare and behaviour during lunchtimes and indoor supervision in poor weather
- Coordinate a varied and inclusive play programme, including resource management, play interventions and work with pupils and the School Council
- Support training and development so all staff understand and support the Play Policy
- Organise and enable pupil Playground Leaders to run peer-led play initiatives
- Respond promptly to accidents and illnesses and complete all related documentation
- Promote safeguarding and welfare in line with statutory policies
- Liaise with kitchen staff for a smooth dining service and a pleasant lunchtime experience
- Supervise dining areas to promote orderliness and cleanliness
- Monitor and report unauthorised visitors and maintain site safety during breaks
