This post sits within Hyde's Finance Business Partnering team, reporting to the Head of Budgeting and Forecasting. The core work is forecasting, scenario modelling and appraising investment and transformation proposals, with challenge for service leaders. It also leads two Finance Business Partners and management accountants, and uses data, AI and automation to sharpen reporting. Candidates need experience managing accountants and a professional accountancy qualification, or be working towards one; an online psychometric assessment comes before interview.
What the job involves
- Lead, motivate and develop the Finance Business Partnering team, setting priorities and supporting delivery
- Build trusted relationships with service leaders, turning complex financial information into clear advice and constructive challenge
- Support budgeting, forecasting and scenario modelling, explaining performance drivers, risks and opportunities
- Evaluate investment proposals and transformation initiatives, identifying efficiencies and tracking financial benefits
- Improve financial insight and reporting through data, AI and automation while maintaining strong financial governance
- Work with stakeholders across Hyde to strengthen forecasting, improve performance and deliver value for money
Qualifications
- Professional accountancy qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA, or equivalent, or working towards one
Experience
- Managing a team of accountants
- Finance business partnering, management accounting or financial planning
- Budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting, turning financial information into practical recommendations
Skills & knowledge
- Strong analytical skills
- Influencing and constructively challenging stakeholders, and explaining financial issues clearly to non-finance audiences
- Commercial focus on efficiency and value for money
- Interest in using data, AI and automation to strengthen financial insight
