Permanent Category Manager post in the Procurement team at Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service, working 35 hours a week. The role runs the works and services procurement portfolio, covering new builds, refurbishments, facilities management and training services. It sits within an extensive asset refresh programme and supports the Service's National Resilience contract work. A CIPS Diploma or higher is required.
What the job involves
- Manage the works and services procurement portfolio, including new builds, renovation works, fire station refurbishments, facilities management and training services
- Lead all procurement activity needed to deliver against challenging timeframes
- Support the asset refresh programme and the integration of new assets
- Maintain service continuity while assets are replaced or changed
- Work with autonomy and responsibility, reporting to the Head of Procurement or the Procurement Lead NR
