Practice Nurse post at Marlborough Surgery, a teaching practice serving its own list and North Easington Primary Care Network. The work centres on immunisations, cervical and other screening, opportunistic consultations, chronic disease reviews, wound management and contraceptive advice. The nurse joins a clinical team that includes ANPs, practice nurses and other clinical staff, with full-time compressed hours listed but part-time applications also considered. Primary care experience is preferred, and NMC registration as a Registered General Nurse is required.
What the job involves
- Support delivery of practice nursing services and care for the practice population and the wider PCN
- Carry out immunisations
- Carry out screening, including cervical screening
- Carry out opportunistic consultations
- Carry out chronic disease reviews
- Provide wound management
- Deliver health promotion
- Provide contraceptive advice and review
- Work collaboratively with the practice team to meet patient needs
- Liaise with the wider community and hospital teams to support holistic patient care
