This role sits in the site team at Tor View School, looking after the buildings, grounds and daily running of the premises. The post holder supervises cleaning staff, carries out minor repairs and outdoor upkeep, manages stock and acts as a key holder. Set hours run from 10:00 to 18:00 Monday to Thursday and 10:30 to 18:00 on Friday, with deep cleaning during school closures. Start is as soon as possible and visa sponsorship is not available.
What the job involves
- Supervise and coordinate cleaning staff to keep the school clean
- Work with the site team to maintain the school buildings and grounds
- Carry out minor repairs and general maintenance, such as bulbs, door handles and blocked sinks
- Ensure the heating, lighting and security systems operate effectively
- Maintain outdoor areas, including pathways, waste disposal, playgrounds and car parks
- Manage stock levels and replenish cleaning supplies and equipment
- Act as a key holder, securing the premises and responding to emergencies
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed, including COSHH requirements
- Support deep cleaning and site maintenance during school closures and holidays
