What the job involves
- Act as person in charge, standing in for the manager when required and acting on their instructions
- Ensure high standards of care for residents
- Carry out nursing tasks including medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic conditions
- Advise families and GPs of changes in residents' condition that give cause for concern, keeping them involved in choices about ongoing care
- Deploy and supervise care staff so that tasks are completed and residents receive required care
- Provide high standards of care through accurate assessment and planning
Qualifications
- First Level qualification
- Relevant post-basic studies or qualification

- Current NMC registration
Experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience of care
- Up-to-date knowledge of care
