Registered Midwife

NHS Professionals is offering a bank registered midwife role, with work placed at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust, a regional teaching hospital with specialist obstetric services. The work centres on antenatal care for women and their families, including clinical examinations, screening and identifying high-risk pregnancies. It is a flexible bank post, with shifts or fixed-term placements across client Trusts in England. Fit depends on NMC registration and at least 12 months of paid midwifery experience within the last two years.

What the job involves

• Assess the needs of women, partners, families and carers
• Plan, deliver and evaluate evidence-based midwifery care
• Provide full antenatal care, including parenting classes, clinical examinations and screening
• Identify high-risk pregnancies

• NMC professional registration

Experience

• At least 12 months of paid experience as a midwife within the last 2 years

Other

• Keep up to date with current nursing practice
• Additional certification and skills, depending on the Trust
