This Care Assistant role sits in the reablement team at Essex Cares, where staff help customers relearn everyday skills so they can keep living in their own homes. The work covers personal care, mobility and preparing meals, delivered in clients' homes across the community. No prior experience is needed, as training comes first and a mentor works alongside new staff, on early or late shifts with every other weekend worked. Own vehicle and full licence needed; direct applications needing visa sponsorship are not accepted.
What the job involves
- Help customers regain independence and continue living in their own homes
- Support clients to relearn personal care skills
- Support clients to relearn mobility skills
- Support clients to relearn meal preparation
- Travel between customers across South Essex in your own vehicle
- Visit customers alongside a mentor until confident in the role
