Hours are ad hoc with no set weekly pattern, fitted around the department's needs and availability. Fit depends on radiology experience, particularly MRI, fluoroscopy and ultrasound, plus an NVQ Level 3 in a health-related subject.
What the job involves
- Prepare patients for imaging and support them throughout their time in the department
- Help radiographers keep the daily work list and patient workflow efficient
- Assist radiologists with examinations and chaperone patients
- Handle service user queries and patient appointments using radiology IT systems
- Maintain stock and place orders
- Arrange patient image transfers to and from other health institutions
What’s required
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in a health-related subject
Experience
- Experience within a radiology department, particularly MRI, fluoroscopy and ultrasound procedures
