Qualified PWP post in the Step 2 team at Mind Matters Surrey Talking Therapies, within Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. The work is assessing people with mild to moderate anxiety and depression and delivering low intensity CBT guided self-help. It mixes remote working with up to two days a week in person across Surrey, plus late shifts, a weekly specialist group and Silver Cloud sessions. Applicants need a year's PWP experience in Talking Therapies, a low intensity post-graduate qualification and BABCP or BPS registration.
What the job involves
- Carry out assessments with people experiencing a range of mental health difficulties, identifying areas for change
- Identify the most appropriate treatment pathway for each person
- Make referrals to other services or offer treatment within Mind Matters
- Deliver high volume, low intensity CBT guided self-help to people with mild to moderate anxiety and depression
- Provide low intensity CBT interventions that promote self-management of recovery
- Offer Silver Cloud assisted therapy treatment sessions
- Deliver a specialist group each week
- Work with people in face-to-face clinics, across teams and by telephone
Qualifications
- Post Graduate Diploma or Certificate in Low Intensity psychological therapies (Talking Therapies qualification)
Registration & licences
- Current registration with BABCP or BPS
Experience
- At least one year working as a qualified PWP within a Talking Therapies service
- Experience assessing and treating people who have experienced a mental health problem
