This fixed-term Team Leader post sits within WithYou's Young Persons Community Drug & Alcohol Service for 18 months. The role centres on leading a team, supporting the management of the contracted service and keeping staff engaged with strategic objectives. Leaders from health, social care or criminal justice are welcome, as substance misuse experience is not required. A cover letter must accompany the CV.
What the job involves
- Supporting the management team in delivering the contracted service, leading on an area of specialism
- Managing service staff so they are informed, inspired and engaged with WithYou's strategic objectives
- Promoting the service and WithYou positively to external stakeholders
Qualifications
- ONC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent
Experience
- Proven track record of managing and leading drug and alcohol, mental health or comparable services
- Track record of management responsibility and developing others
- Experience of working in partnership with statutory and non-statutory agencies
- Experience of developing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
Skills & knowledge
- Sound understanding of safeguarding practice and experience of applying and managing it
- Resilience and prioritising under pressure
- Working as a collaborative, supportive team player
Checks & eligibility
- Full UK driving licence and use of own car
