Dr Yerra Practice at Guttridge Medical Centre, serving around 4,300 registered patients, is recruiting a practice manager to work alongside the GP Partner. The role covers the whole practice, from leading and developing a multidisciplinary team to managing HR, finances and contracts. Governance, CQC compliance, information security and business continuity also sit within the remit. Candidates need primary care management experience and should be comfortable working autonomously while advising the GP Partner on the practice's long-term direction.
What the job involves
- Leading, motivating and developing the practice team
- Managing HR, including recruitment, workforce planning, performance management and staff wellbeing
- Developing and implementing strategic business plans and supporting service development
- Managing practice finances, budgets and contracts and maximising income
- Ensuring effective clinical governance, CQC compliance and risk management
- Overseeing information governance, data security and Data Security and Protection Toolkit compliance
- Ensuring health and safety arrangements and a safe, effective, fit-for-purpose premises
- Developing and maintaining effective business continuity plans
- Supporting training and research activity in the practice
