Mobile school cleaning post based at Pitlochry High School, employed by Tayside Contracts, the shared service delivering for Angus, Dundee City and Perth & Kinross councils. The work is cleaning toilets, dining and common areas to a clean, hygienic standard, as directed by the Lead Cleaner or Facilities Assistant. The base is variable within a reasonable area, so the post involves moving between sites as assigned. Previous cleaning experience and machine use are desirable rather than required; this is a readvertisement and previous applicants are not invited to apply.
What the job involves
- Clean areas of the school premises as designated by the Lead Cleaner or Facilities Assistant
- Clean toilets, dining and common areas to keep them clean and hygienic
- Report to locations as directed by the manager, with the base varying within a reasonable geographical area
Skills & knowledge
- Flexible and adaptable approach
- Environmental awareness and security conscious
- Ability to work as part of a team or alone
- Basic knowledge of cleaning methods
- Awareness of customer care
Nice to have
- Previous experience of working in cleaning
- Ability to use machines such as polishers
