This temporary part-time post is an Occupational Expert role in the Apprenticeships Team at the Priory Federation of Academies Trust, with travel to other sites required. The work centres on training, mentoring and assessing apprentices on the Technology Technician (Level 3) programme against apprenticeship standards set by the Institute of Apprenticeships. What sets it apart is the chance to help shape new programmes while working directly with employers. Applicants must be occupationally competent and hold, or be working towards, a recognised assessor qualification, and visa sponsorship is not available.
What the job involves
- Recruit, train, monitor and assess apprentices on programmes
- Deliver training to apprentices
- Mentor learners
- Assess apprentice progress on the Technology Technician (Level 3) programme
- Meet the needs of employers and learners
- Ensure apprentices succeed against the apprenticeship standards set by the Institute of Apprenticeships
- Contribute to the development of new programmes
- Travel to other sites as required
Qualifications
- Recognised assessor qualification and standard, held or in progress
Experience
- Occupational competence in laboratory technology
