This full-time physiotherapist post sits within Active Care Group's neurological rehabilitation teams, a complex care provider with decades of specialist work in brain and spinal injury. The role centres on assessing and treating physical difficulties, coordinating therapy timetables and programmes towards each client's agreed goals, and keeping accurate records of outcomes. It is a fixed term of 24 months, with a travel allowance offered between sites and protected CPD time. Candidates need HCPC registration, two years' postgraduate experience and a full UK driving licence.
What the job involves
- Provide assessment, treatment and management of challenges to physical abilities
- Act as key therapist, coordinating therapy timetables and programmes towards agreed rehabilitation goals
- Keep accurate records of assessment, treatment and outcome measures
- Communicate effectively with clients who have cognitive impairment or communication difficulties
- Liaise with family, carers and significant others to meet clients' needs
- Work as a team player, going the extra mile for clients and their families
