- Ensure the safe, legal and efficient operation of a diverse fleet
- Support compliance with Operator's Licence requirements
- Support compliance with transport legislation and health and safety standards
- Act as key advisor on transport compliance matters
- Monitor fleet performance and standards
- Investigate incidents
- Analyse data
- Identify opportunities to improve systems and processes, and promote best practice
- Challenge non-compliance where necessary
- Work with colleagues across all Council directorates and external organisations
