What the job involves
- Lead the frontline facilities service and improve the customer experience
- Provide leadership and strategic management of all internal operational facilities services
- Ensure safe, efficient and customer-focused delivery of all soft FM services
- Ensure internal facilities operations support strategic plans and the student experience
- Act as a principal link between Internal Operations and other key services
- Ensure the estate is maintained to high standards
- Act as part of the FM leadership team
- Support and lead the team to enhance student experience and service delivery
Qualifications
- NEBOSH General certificate, attained or in progress
- NVQ Level 5 in FM, attained or in progress, or equivalent experiential learning
Experience
- Facilities management experience
- Senior facilities or operational role providing excellent customer service in a busy, varied environment
- Managing the delivery of all FM operations within a university environment, including residential and living accommodation
Skills & knowledge
- Strong people management skills
- Positive, proactive approach to challenges
- Proven knowledge of statutory health and safety, compliance and risk management, as an alternative to NEBOSH
Checks & eligibility
- DBS check at the appropriate level if the role is in regulated activity, with disclosure of spent and unspent convictions
