This Specialist Learning Support Assistant (Communication Support Worker) post sits in the Inclusion Services Team at City College Norwich and serves Easton and Paston colleges as well. The work centres on supporting students with learning disabilities or difficulties, including those who need British Sign Language interpretation, Additional Support, or who have profound and multiple learning disabilities. The post is term time only, 38 weeks a year. A level 6 BSL qualification is essential, and level 3 or below will not be considered.

- Support students with learning disabilities and/or difficulties across City College Norwich, Easton College and Paston College

What’s required
Qualifications
- BSL qualification up to level 6 (level 3 or below not accepted)
- Willingness to work towards Level 3 Certificate in Learning Support or equivalent
Checks & eligibility
- Enhanced Adult and Child Workforce DBS check
- Registration with the DBS Update Service
- New DBS certificate needed; update service checks on certificates issued before 28 November 2020 are not accepted
