HR Lead in North East

This 12-month HR Lead post sits at Priory Hospital Middleton St George, a specialist inpatient service for adults with mental health issues, complex needs and behaviours that challenge. The role leads onsite HR and resourcing, supports managers with recruitment, onboarding and employee relations, and manages the onsite HR team. Referrals come from prisons, courts, NHS trusts and other public sector bodies, and the post is full-time at 37.5 hours a week. Prior experience coordinating HR in a corporate setting is essential.

What the job involves

• Lead onsite HR and resourcing, supporting managers with recruitment, onboarding and HR processes
• Work with central talent acquisition and onboarding teams to attract candidates and keep recruitment and onboarding on time
• Monitor DBS checks, professional accreditations and mandatory training, arranging training where needed
• Support colleague engagement and retention, including engagement surveys, exit interviews and absence management
• Manage the onsite HR team, keep accurate employee records and support employee relations, including investigations and grievances

• Previous experience coordinating HR activities in a corporate environment

• Supporting managers with HR policies, procedures and employee relations matters

Checks & eligibility

• Successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the DBS, Access NI or Disclosure Scotland

• Experience supporting absence management, investigations and grievance procedures
• Working towards a CIPD qualification
