What the job involves
- Supervise whole classes during short-term teacher absence
- Implement pre-set work programmes under teaching staff guidance
- Manage student behaviour under the school's behaviour policy
- Help prepare the classroom environment and materials
- Answer student questions about the set work
- Collect completed student assignments
- Supervise students entering and leaving lessons
- Accurately record and report lesson attendance
- Help with exam invigilation
- Report pupil behaviour or issues using referral procedures
