This 18-month fixed-term maternity cover post sits in the north east regional safeguarding team of the Methodist Church in Britain, aligned to the Darlington and Newcastle districts. The core of the work is individual safeguarding casework, risk assessments, training, and advice to churches and church communities. Its 15 hours a week involve regular travel and support to colleagues across the wider region. Fit depends on a relevant professional qualification or demonstrable experience in child or adult protection, and an enhanced DBS is required.
What the job involves
