What the job involves
- Collect household waste and recycling using wheeled bins, sacks and other collection systems
- Take responsibility for the allocated vehicle and carry out essential safety checks
- Act as a loader when required
- Manage collection routes
- Lead, support and motivate the collection crew
- Support missed and assisted collections
- Solve problems on the go to keep services running smoothly
- Deliver excellent service to residents in a public-facing role
