Heathland School is recruiting a casual midday supervisor, contacted as and when the school needs cover. The work centres on supervising pupils in the dining hall and playground at lunchtime, keeping them safe, helping with routines and settling minor disputes. The hours run in term time only. An enhanced DBS check is required and visa sponsorship is not available.
What the job involves
- Supervise pupils in the dining hall and on the playground during lunch breaks
- Ensure pupils follow safety rules and behaviour expectations
- Help pupils with basic table manners and lunchtime needs
- Manage and resolve minor disputes calmly
- Ensure pupils eat in a safe and appropriate environment
- Support lunchtime activities and encourage positive play

- Enjoys working with children and has a friendly, approachable manner
- Communicates clearly with pupils and staff
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and commitment to pupil safety and wellbeing
