Mealtime Assistant on the lunchtime team at Plaistow Hill Primary and Nursery School, a small one form entry school. The post covers the lunch hall, leading play and team games in the playground, promoting positive behaviour, first aid and pastoral care for all pupils. Shifts are weekday lunchtimes only, and the school uses nearby woodland for forest school sessions. An Enhanced DBS is required and visa sponsorship is not available.
What the job involves
- Lead play and organise team games during the lunch break
- Supervise children in the lunch hall
- Encourage healthy eating, table manners and good hygiene at mealtimes
- Promote positive behaviour and safe active play in the playground
- Provide first aid support
- Provide pastoral care to all pupils
- Work with school staff and the wider community to deliver the Trust's mission
