The Maintenance Lead leads the maintenance team at All Saints Hospital for Elysium Healthcare, reporting to the Support Services Manager. Duties centre on daily maintenance priorities, planned preventative maintenance tied to statutory compliance, contractor supervision and faults. The hospital is a mental health service for men over 18 in self-contained flats, supporting people who are D/deaf or have complex communication needs. A City & Guilds qualification in electrical, plumbing or building is required, along with a DBS check.
What the job involves
- Lead and support the maintenance team across All Saints Hospital
- Oversee day-to-day maintenance activities and prioritise workloads
- Review work schedules and ensure repairs and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
- Support the organisation and completion of planned preventative maintenance programmes
- Ensure all statutory and compliance requirements are met
- Coordinate contractors on site, giving guidance and local support so works are safe, on time and to standard
- Identify, prioritise and respond to faults, damage and maintenance issues
- Ensure buildings and facilities remain safe, compliant and fit for purpose
- Promote a strong health and safety culture in line with policies, procedures and statutory regulations
- Support administrative processes including purchase orders, invoice approval and budget monitoring
- Contribute to Health & Safety, Clinical Governance and Senior Management Team meetings as required
Qualifications
- City & Guilds qualification in electrical, plumbing or building
- English language skills, verbal and written, to GCSE level D or equivalent
- Numeracy to GCSE level D or equivalent
Experience
- Previous maintenance experience in a hospital or similar environment
Skills & knowledge

- Knowledge of statutory legislation, including fire, electrical and health & safety
