Peaks & Plains Housing Trust is recruiting a permanent Damp & Mould Technician into its Repairs team, which looks after around 5,000 homes. The work centres on internal damp, mould and condensation repairs, including treating wall surfaces, remedial decoration and joinery in customers' homes. The post is full‑time on fixed weekday hours with a vehicle provided for travel. Candidates need construction experience and a full driving licence.
What the job involves
- Carry out mould remediation and related applications to internal damp, mould and condensation problems in line with current regulations
- Treat internal wall surfaces to eliminate mould growth
- Carry out remedial decorative works where required
- Complete associated joinery and multi-skilled tasks inside properties
- Deliver a high quality, continuously improving repairs service to customers
What’s required
Experience
- Experience of internal mould remediation and decorative works
- Experience working within statutory guidelines such as health and safety
- Experience within the construction industry
