The role covers the dining hall and playground at lunchtime, from helping younger pupils with their meals to organising games and dealing with minor injuries. It suits someone patient and calm under pressure who works well in a team and enjoys sport and outdoor activity. An enhanced DBS check is required and visa sponsorship is not available.
What the job involves
- Supervise children in the dining hall
- Support younger pupils with cutlery and cutting up food
- Encourage good table manners
- Patrol the playground
- Organise games and activities
- Support play leaders
- Help children play co-operatively
- Treat minor injuries
- Record incidents in the Accident Book
- Make sure serious injuries are seen by a trained First Aider and reported to a member of the senior leadership team
