Three Lunchtime Controllers are needed at Park Lane Primary School in Tilehurst, covering the Infants and Juniors site. The work is supervising children at lunchtime, both indoors and in outdoor play areas and the dining room, and helping with tidying games and toys. Posts are term time only, around 6.25 hours a week between 11.45am and 1.40pm on weekdays, with the exact hours still to be confirmed. An enhanced DBS check is required, and applications must be made on a Reading Borough Council form rather than by CV.
What the job involves
- Supervise pupils inside the school, in outside play areas and in the dining area at lunchtime
- Supervise the clearing up of games and toys inside and outside
- Use the school's Behaviour Policy to manage pupil behaviour
- Assist children in the dining room and encourage healthy eating
