Relief Mobile Caretaker post in the Facilities Team at Vertas Group, offered on a zero hours contract to cover annual leave and sickness. The work centres on day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs, checking heating, lighting and alarm systems, keeping records, and maintaining client sites to a clean, secure standard. Shifts fall in two short blocks, early morning and late afternoon, with travel time and mileage paid. An Enhanced DBS check is required.
What the job involves
- Carrying out day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs
- Ensuring heating, lighting and alarm systems operate correctly
- Completing and recording routine checks and keeping health and safety records
- Monitoring site stock levels and carrying out cleaning duties where required
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, security and presentation across sites
- Providing high quality caretaking services so client environments stay safe, secure, clean and welcoming
- Demonstrating a strong awareness of health and safety and attending relevant training

- Experience in a similar caretaking, facilities or maintenance environment
