Redbourn Primary School is recruiting a Level 3 Teaching and Learning Assistant for a term-time post starting in January 2027. The work is supporting pupils' academic and pastoral needs alongside teachers, with individuals, small groups and whole classes. Weekday hours run from 7:45am to 3:30pm and include supporting pupils at lunchtime. Visa sponsorship is not available, and an enhanced DBS check is required.
What the job involves
- Support pupils' learning and development with individuals, small groups and whole classes
- Work with teachers and other professionals to help pupils achieve their full potential
- Provide academic and pastoral support to pupils

Qualifications
- Level 3 NVQ in Childcare, a Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent
Experience
- Experience of working with children

- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Building positive relationships with children while maintaining appropriate boundaries
- Calm, patient, flexible and professional approach with children and families
