Avery Healthcare Group's Aire View Care Home in Leeds is recruiting a Team Leader for nights. The post supports the home management team in running care, mainly through the person-centred care planning process, monthly evaluations, care plan audits and resident wellbeing checks. What sets it apart is the duty to lead staff and cover for the manager in their absence. Fit depends on an NVQ 3 in care for care homes and two years in a senior role with the same resident group.
What the job involves
- Support the home management team in delivering high-quality, safe and caring services for residents, visitors and staff
- Lead the person-centred care planning process, including implementing and monitoring care plans
- Carry out monthly care plan evaluations and audits, and develop and complete action plans
- Monitor each resident's wellbeing and amend care plans and records when needs change
- Manage smooth discharges from the home, including documentation, medication and keeping next of kin informed where appropriate
- Apply safe systems of work, including moving and handling and risk assessment, protecting personal and others' safety
Qualifications
- NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes
Experience
- Two years in a senior position with the resident group
Skills & knowledge
- Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
- Lead staff and act responsibly in the manager's absence
