Staff nurse post with GenesisCare UK at its newly opening cancer centre, covering outpatients, endoscopy and bronchoscopy. The work is clinical nursing care for patients through diagnosis and treatment, including support for diagnostic and endoscopy clinics and assisting consultants with minor procedures. The post helps establish a new service within a multidisciplinary team, with a broad clinical skills remit. Current NMC registration is required, along with prior outpatient, diagnostics or oncology experience and bronchoscopy experience.
What the job involves
- Deliver high-quality outpatient nursing care
- Support patients through diagnosis and treatment
- Support diagnostic and endoscopy clinics
- Assist consultants with minor procedures
- Carry out clinical nursing skills including venepuncture, wound care and ECGs
- Provide safe, compassionate and evidence-based care across the patient journey
- Provide education and support to patients and families
- Take part in clinical audit and service improvement
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider centre
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team
What’s required
Registration & licences
- Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse
Experience
- Previous experience in outpatients, diagnostics or oncology
- Previous bronchoscopy experience
