This coordinator post sits in the ASD Base team at Saint John Bosco College, a Catholic school that supports pupils with additional needs. The work centres on mentoring pupils and small groups who face barriers to learning, tracking their progress and helping prepare for EHCP reviews. It is a term-time role of 36 hours across Monday to Friday, working alongside the ASD Base Lead. Visa sponsorship is not available, and the post requires an enhanced DBS check.
What the job involves
- Mentor pupils one to one and in small groups, especially those facing barriers to learning
- Track and review pupil progress, keeping high expectations for behaviour, attendance and achievement
- Coordinate daily timetables and manage pupil-focused administration
- Help the ASD Base Lead plan, track data and prepare for EHCP reviews and meetings
- Work with teaching staff to provide effective classroom support and consistent provision
- Build relationships with parents, carers and external agencies
- Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing and inclusion across the school
