Elysium Healthcare's Lakefields Neurological Centre is recruiting a Lead Nurse who will also act as Deputy Care Centre Director. The post supports the Care Centre Director in leading the service, guiding nurses, owning quality outcomes and complaints, and deputising at meetings. It is a 22-bed neurological rehabilitation service for brain injury and spinal conditions, with a focus on tracheostomy and ventilator care. Applicants must be a registered RGN with five or more years in respiratory ward or ITU work and senior management experience.
What the job involves
- Support the Care Centre Director in providing strong and robust leadership across the service
- Lead and guide a team of nurses to deliver high-quality care
- Deputise for the Care Centre Director at internal and external meetings with key stakeholders
- Monitor quality outcomes and drive development within the service
- Take responsibility for quality outcomes and complaints
- Provide high-profile clinical leadership to the nursing team
- Get involved in all operational functions of the service
- Promote and safeguard the well-being and interests of service users, employees and visitors
- Ensure standards of patient care are maintained within operational policies and legislation
- Ensure the site complies with regulatory guidelines and statutory requirements
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RGN)
Experience
- Five or more years in respiratory ward or ITU
- Senior management experience in healthcare
- Experience in a similar setting in the NHS and/or private care
- Tracheostomy and ventilator care experience
