What the job involves
- Provide patient care from initial history taking through assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation
- Make safe clinical decisions, including assessment and diagnostic work, with critical thinking, within general practice
- Work with regional nursing, operational and GP teams to meet targets in line with national service frameworks
- Support the Regional Lead Nurse and act as deputy as required
- Provide nurse leadership and support delivery of policies and procedures
- Help implement and monitor clinical aspects alongside the site clinical lead
- Assist with nursing and AHCP redesign and quality strategies to build a high-quality team
What’s required
Qualifications
- First Level UK registered nurse or Registered AHCP
- Sound evidence of academic links
Registration & licences
- Non-medical prescriber
- NMC requirements for advanced practice met
Experience
- At least 2 years post-qualified experience
- Extensive clinical experience in Primary Care Health settings
- Experience of managing nursing teams
- Practice nurse experience including smears and childhood immunisations
Skills & knowledge
- Understanding of the Lead role
