What the job involves
- Oversee the housekeeping and laundry cleaning service supporting hospitality services
- Carry out all cleaning duties as set out in the housekeeping job description
- Prepare orders for cleaning materials from approved suppliers for Home Manager approval
- Maintain stock levels and control, buying good-quality products within budget
- Monitor the standards of work of the housekeeping and laundry team to keep cleanliness high
- Supervise and direct the work of the housekeeping team
- Instruct and demonstrate cleaning tasks and materials to new staff
What’s required
Experience
- Experience cleaning and managing laundry in a public setting
Skills & knowledge
- Knowledge of health and safety, including moving and handling, fire safety and COSHH assessments
- Leading, supervising and developing teams
