A permanent post for 32 hours a week at Cygnet Afon Las, a new 15-bed neurocognitive service for men opening in early 2027. The physiotherapist leads and builds the service's physiotherapy provision from the outset, working within an interdisciplinary team. The work supports men with acquired brain injury, dementia and complex physical health needs, some under Ministry of Justice restrictions. Experienced Band 7 physiotherapists are sought, and strong Band 6 candidates are welcome to apply.
What the job involves
- Lead and develop physiotherapy provision at Cygnet Afon Las
- Establish physiotherapy provision from the start of the new service
- Work within an interdisciplinary team with occupational therapy, speech and language therapy and nursing
- Improve physical function, mobility, independence and quality of life for each individual
- Support individual needs and risks safely within a structured therapeutic environment
- Keep each individual at the centre of their care and rehabilitation
- Take part in service development
- Join specialist interest groups
- Support colleagues across the group under the Professional Lead for Physiotherapy

- Experienced Band 7 physiotherapist, or a strong Band 6 ready for the next step
