This Higher Level Teaching Assistant post sits in the SEND department at Priestlands School, where the team is growing. The work centres on small group teaching and classroom support for students in Key Stages 3 and 4, delivered mainly from the school's dedicated HUB. The role runs term-time only at 32.5 hours a week, 8.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday, and previous experience in a relevant role is essential. Visa sponsorship is not available, and the start date is 4 January 2027.
What the job involves
- Deliver small group work with SEN students
- Provide classroom support to students in Key Stages 3 and 4
- Deliver specialised learning opportunities for SEN students
- Plan innovative, creative approaches so students can access the work
- Bring out the best in students so they learn and succeed
- Record and analyse student data and communicate effectively with stakeholders
Experience
- Previous experience in a relevant role
- Proven record of working with students in KS3 and KS4
Skills & knowledge
- Good rapport with students
- Innovative and creative approach to student access to work
- Strong administration skills for recording, analysing and communicating
