What the job involves
- Lead learning within agreed frameworks, delivering lessons or interventions planned by a qualified teacher
- Contribute to the planning, delivery and evaluation of learning under qualified teachers and senior leaders
- Support high-quality teaching and learning by modelling practice and supporting other support staff
- Promote positive relationships and behaviour using trauma-informed and restorative approaches
- Contribute to assessment and progress monitoring, giving feedback on engagement, learning and next steps
- Champion inclusion and learner voice so learners feel they belong and can reach their potential
- Work with teachers, therapists and pastoral teams to deliver integrated support
- Maintain high expectations, building learner independence, self-regulation and readiness for the next stage
