This is a Deputy Director of Learning post leading Physical Education within the Creative Faculty at Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School, a mixed secondary grammar school and sixth form. The holder supports faculty leadership alongside the Director of Learning, who also oversees Music, Art and Technology, while taking full responsibility for PE. The work covers shaping vision and curriculum, and growing both participation and high performance across sport and the extra-curricular programme. Candidates need a degree and QTS, and visa sponsorship is not available.

- Lead Physical Education and take full responsibility for the subject
- Shape the vision for PE and secure strong outcomes for all learners
- Design the PE curriculum
- Support wider leadership of the Creative Faculty alongside the Director of Learning
- Nurture a passion for sport in every student, driving participation and high performance
- Expand and enhance the extra-curricular sport programme at local, national and international levels
- Develop talent and promote wellbeing through sport
