Bank radiology department assistant post at Spire Portsmouth Hospital, a private hospital in the Spire Healthcare group, on flexible as‑needed shifts. What the job involves
- Care for patients, carers, visitors and relatives during their visit to the department
- Act as chaperone in line with policy
- Help move patients between examination rooms
- Record each patient's radiology episode on the RIS
- Liaise with radiographers, nurses, radiologists, consultants and external departments
- Assist with audit projects as required
- Comply with health and safety policy, department procedures, IRMER local rules and Spire policies
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout radiology
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
- Work as part of a team
- Know radiology systems (RIS, PACS, IEP, patient database)
